Summer Camps

A fun filled experience for physically challenged children

Sunshine hosts an annual summer camp program for children with physical disabilities that are between 8 & 18 years of age.

Camp Berachah: Is a totally barrier-free campground located 35 miles east of Tacoma, near rural Auburn Washington. 

Camp Ghormley: This camp is located 45 miles west of Yakima in eastern Washington nestled in the Wenatchee National Forest.

Camp Activities: Horseback Riding, Go Carts, Adaptive bike riding, Live Reptile show, Sonics Wheelchair Basketball Team, Swimming, Karoke/Dance, Archery, Indian Folk Dancers, Boating on a secluded lake, Fishing, Zip line, Star gazing with a telescope from atop the mountain, Arts & Crafts and as always friendships and memories of a lifetime. 

Camp Cost: Sunshine Camps are always free of charge to eligible applicants.  Sunshine programs are made possible by the generosity of concerned individuals and dedicated efforts of invaluable volunteers.  We are funded solely by private and public donations and grants from corporations and foundations.  If you or someone you know would like to contribute to our programs please contact us at an office nearest you.

Volunteer Staff and Counselors: Camp sunshine staff is comprised of volunteer counselors and board members.  Two registered nurses are on continuous duty during camp  We provide one-on-one counselor to camper ratio.  Our counselors are dedicated, qualified people who are ready to give individualized care, guidance and friendships to their campers.
